The short answer
Take your iPhone to where you last had your headphones and open PodSpot. It lists the Bluetooth devices around you, whatever the brand, each labeled Near or Far. Pick your headphones and walk toward the stronger signal: the percentage rises as you get closer. When they are nearby, play a sound from PodSpot while they are connected to your iPhone. They need to be switched on and within Bluetooth range.
Find them with PodSpot
PodSpot works with the Bluetooth signal itself, so the brand matters less than the battery.
- Open PodSpot on your iPhone and start a scan.
- Find your headphones in the list. Each device is labeled Near or Far.
- Tap your headphones to open the signal screen.
- Walk slowly from room to room. The signal percentage rises as you get closer. Walls, furniture and bodies weaken it, so keep moving rather than standing in one spot.
- When the earbuds or headphones are nearby, play a sound from PodSpot while they are connected to your iPhone. Play Sound does not work on a charging case.
- When you find them, save the spot in PodSpot. Saved spots are listed under Previous Locations, so next time you know where to look first.
What PodSpot can and can't do

PodSpot reads Bluetooth right on your iPhone, so scanning works without Wi-Fi or mobile data. It can't see headphones that are switched off, out of battery or out of Bluetooth range.
PodSpot can play a sound on earbuds or headphones while they are connected to your iPhone. Play Sound does not work on a charging case.

It depends on the headphones and on what is in between. Walls, furniture and bodies all weaken the signal, so walk room by room and watch for your headphones to appear in the list.
