About PodSpot
What PodSpot does
- PodSpot scans for Bluetooth devices that are powered on and nearby, and lists them with a Near or Far label.
- Tapping a device opens a signal screen: move around, and the signal percentage rises as you get closer.
- After you find a device, PodSpot can save that spot. Saved spots are listed under Previous Locations.
- PodSpot can play a sound on earbuds or headphones while they are connected to your iPhone.
- Play Sound works on earbuds that can play audio, not on the charging case.
What it can't do
- PodSpot does not use Apple's Find My network. It only reads the Bluetooth signal the device sends.
- PodSpot cannot see a device that is switched off, out of battery, or out of Bluetooth range.
- PodSpot usually can't see AirPods earbuds while they are inside their case, so take them out before you search.
- Classic AirPods cases (and other models without a case radio) do not send a Bluetooth signal PodSpot can read on their own.
