Lost your Beats? Here is how to track them down.
Many recent Beats work with Apple's Find My. When yours don't, or the map only gets you close, PodSpot follows their Bluetooth signal the rest of the way.

The short answer
Open Find My and tap Devices. Your Beats appear there only if they were paired with an iPhone signed in to your Apple Account and Find My was on. Tap Play Sound if they are nearby. If they aren't listed, open PodSpot and pick your Beats from the list of nearby Bluetooth devices. Then walk toward the stronger signal.
Check Find My first
Apple lists these Beats as working with Find My: Beats Fit Pro, Beats Flex, Beats Pill, Beats Solo 4, Beats Solo Buds, Beats Studio Buds +, Beats Studio Pro, Powerbeats Fit and Powerbeats Pro 2.
- Open the Find My app on your iPhone and tap Devices.
- Look for your Beats. They only appear if they were paired with an iPhone or iPad signed in to your Apple Account, and Find My was turned on before they went missing.
- Tap your Beats to see where they are on the map.
- Tap Play Sound. Your Beats play a sound for a few minutes, or until you stop it.
When your Beats aren't in Find My
Older Beats, Beats that were never added to Find My, and Beats paired to an Android phone won't appear on Apple's map. That doesn't mean they are gone.
PodSpot scans for Bluetooth devices that are switched on and nearby, and labels each one Near or Far. Tap your Beats and walk around: the signal percentage rises as you get closer, so you can tell when you are in the right room.
It reads the Bluetooth signal and doesn't use Apple's Find My network, so your Beats need battery and need to be within Bluetooth range. Walls and furniture weaken the signal, so walk room by room. PodSpot can also remember where it last saw a device and show that spot on a map.

Questions people ask
Can I find Beats that are not in Find My?
Yes, if they still have battery and you can get within Bluetooth range. PodSpot lists the Bluetooth devices that are switched on around you and shows the signal getting stronger as you get closer.
Can I find dead Beats?
Not over Bluetooth. With no battery, your Beats send no signal for any scanner to pick up. If they work with Find My, check the map for where they were last seen and search from there.
Does PodSpot use Apple's Find My?
No. PodSpot only reads the Bluetooth signal your Beats send. It is a good fit for the last few meters, when you know you are close but can't see them.
